Exterior Painting
Maintaining the appearance of the outside of your home or business helps to improve the appearance to those viewing it. Poorly kept paint on exterior walls can devalue your home or put people off visiting your business. Painting exterior walls not only adds a new look to your home, but importantly adds protection for the structure and surfaces of your building against the elements.
Furthermore, when it comes to masonry paint, there are two main types to choose from. These are textured paints and smooth paints, with both offering different finishes. Textured are fantastic to use for a hardworking finish and can help to cover any imperfections with the stonework on your property. Smooth paints are better for a clean finish and can cover small blemishes. Another benefit of these paints is that they are easy to apply to a surface.
There are also several benefits to the use of masonry paint on your property and having an insight into these can help you to decide whether you need to repaint or not. New paint helps to reduce the occurrence of damp as most masonry paint allows a wall to breath without having to absorb excess water. Insulation is also improved by both textured and smooth paint as it creates an invisible barrier, reducing heating bills and improving energy retention. The most obvious benefit comes from the paints ability to improve the overall external appearance. To add to this, new paintwork creates a protective barrier that works to repel oil, dirt, algae and water.
